Apogee is actively seeking a full-time (Joint Task Force Computer and Communications Senior Planner) supporting Air Combat Command (ACC) Rear Mission Support Element (9th AF RMSE) division at Shaw Air Force Base, SC. Apogee willprovide program management and contract support that will result in a core JTF HQ staff that is mission-ready to Organize, Train, and Equip the Joint Force. This initiative will alleviate the burden the US Army (USA) has been carrying in fulfilling the recurring OCONUS JTF HQ role. Basing the team out of Shaw AFB, collocated with ARCENT will allow for efficient and frequent interchanges regarding the Joint HQ composed primarily of USA and USAF personnel.

Joint Task Force Computer and Communications Senior Planner

  • Perform as Lead Contractor to implement documents for Master Scenario Events List (MSEL), monitor their execution, and provide analysis on execution
  • Assist Master Scheduler/Event Coordinator to track, or generate if not existing, a comprehensive Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) capturing key milestones within current Joint Task Force (JTF) systems (Global Command and Control System Joint, GCCS-J) and depicting relationship to key milestones of related programs (Deployable Joint Command and Control System, DJC2)
  • Assess and facilitate the development of concept of employments for new/modified JTF applications/capabilities; conduct warfighter shops to identify and document modifications to current and advance tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs)
  • Assist Joint Task Force Conceptual Operational Plans, Training, and Execution Senior Planner to review, develop, and prepare JTF CONOPs, conceptual operational plans, and proper execution of JTF process execution
  • Provide functional expertise in JTF and/or Command and Control operations to include JTF types and composition, communications and computer power issues, communications and computer fielding issues, technical support (e.g. small computers, video teleconference communication, and secure telephone communication), and other operations issues
  • Assist Master Scheduler/Event Coordinator to maintain the JTF Community of Practice website maintaining, reorganizing, and updating the customer's Community of Practice website
  • Liaise with the ACC Communications Directorate (ACC/A6C), ACC Intelligence Directorate, ISR Systems (ACC/A2O), Air Mobility Command (AMC), and Air Force Space Command (AFSPC) for all issues pertaining to the DJC2 configuration status and changes
  • Train JTF personnel regarding current and predicted operational environments, missions, and requirements. Support approximately 6 classes per year with a notional class size of 40 personnel. Provide instruction in accordance with the Government-provided syllabus
  • Define hardware and software requirements and configurations for JTF exercises both at home and deployed
  • Assist Special Programs Security Manager to advise the JTF leadership on the operational impact of Informational Assurance controls


  • Top Secret security clearance with SCI - required
  • 3 years of joint cyber and communications operations within a Joint or Combined Staff - required
  • 2 years of experience in the Joint Operations Planning Process (JOPP) - required
  • 5 years of Joint Communications/Cyber Officer experience within a Joint or Combined Staff desired
  • 3 years of experience within an operational headquarters staff - desired
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university - desired
