What you’ll do

Job Purpose

In this role the Program Finance Leader supports the program managers and IPT team with program specific analysis, models, KPIs, and guidance to ensure business targets are measured and achieved. This role plays a key role in setting the operating rhythm of the IPT team and drives monthly forecasting, budgeting, and strategic planning, as well as variance and ad hoc analysis.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop monthly forecasts & annual budgets.

  • Track risks & opportunities to the forecast each month & develop clear variance analysis of actuals to forecasts.

  • Create & implement analysis, models, KPIs, and guidance to the IPT team as needed to ensure business targets are measured & achieved.

  • Identify financial risks, develop mitigation plans with business case justification.

  • Responsible for monthly closing process related to IPT responsibilities, including ensuring the accuracy of reporting, transactions, and journal entries as needed.

  • Lead continuous improvement projects both within Finance & cross functionally.

  • Drive cost out initiatives & lead cross functional efforts to reduce product cost.

  • Assist in the development of finance reporting systems.

  • Develop financial knowledge within the business IPT as appropriate.

  • Ensure adequate financial controls are in place and maintained.

  • Liaison with finance customers including management representatives, internal & external auditors and local users of financial data.

  • Create financial models and performance reports for the Program Manager.

  • Identify and resolve problems that have a direct or indirect impact on financial results.

  • Lead special projects as needed.

  • Perform other finance and accounting duties as required.

About you

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree in Accounting or Finance.

  • 8 years of experience in accounting or finance

Additional Qualifications:

  • Aerospace industry experience preferred

  • IPT &/or Manufacturing industry experience.

  • Business acumen and understanding of business operations.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Excellent PC skills in Microsoft Excel and Windows Suite.

  • Capable of working under pressure to meet deadlines.

  • Strong organizational skills and process adherence skills.

  • Self-motivated & highly energetic.

  • Prefer candidates with Government Accounting experience.
