Role Summary:

The Network Security Architect will provide direction & execution to secure BHGE’s A&I (Acquisition & Integration) sites, business partners and third party vendors connectivity. The successful candidate will be highly collaborative and possess broad technical skills with the ability to implement security changes across a large organization.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Deploy cyber security controls for protecting BHGE’s critical IT & OT assets placed at global sites including acquisitions

  • Partner with multiple BHGE and GE Digital teams to architect technology solutions that deliver cyber security controls for global sites

  • Help define reference architecture for securing Acquisition & Integration (A&I) sites globally

  • Lead projects and initiatives with broad scope and high impact to the business and be a recognized expert in Network Security (IT & OT)

  • Work with customers and operations teams to define repeatable reference network security architectures

  • Determine network security requirements and prepare cost estimates by evaluating business strategies and requirements

  • Conducting system security and risk assessments for business partners and third party vendor connections, identifying security gaps and implementing enhancements

  • Plan and coordinate the implementation of network security systems by working closely with various operation teams

  • Preparing preventive and reactive measures, providing technical support and completing documentation. Qualifications/Requirements: Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Information Technology (IT), Computer Science or Engineering

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in information technology

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in information securityEligibility Requirements

  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 20% of the time as required Desired Characteristics:

  • Experience with secure network architectures, identity and access management principles, application security, encryption technologies, DNS, SOA, database and web applications

  • Experience with ethical hacking, firewall and intrusion detection / prevention technologies, secure coding practices and threat modeling

  • CISCO and/or Palo Alto Network certification

  • Familiar with Palo Alto and/or CISCO Network infrastructure device (routers, switches, firewall)

  • CISSP or CISM certified

  • Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)

  • Experience with Network Forensics and/or Network Security Monitoring (NSM) tools (Snort, Bro-IDS, PCAP, tcpdump, etc.) and analysis techniques (alert, flow/session and PCAP analysis)

  • Prior experience of architecting technical solutions for Operational Technology assets & environments. Familiarity with NIST guidance for securing Industrial Control Systems e.g., Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems, Distributed Control Systems (DCS), and other control system configurations such as Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC)

  • Familiarity with remote connectivity solutions for driving customer service revenues Architecture, Data Management and analytics, Engineering, Financial and operational excellence

  • Proven ability to deliver while under tight timelines

  • Demonstrated ability to proactively analyze and solve complex problems

  • Excellent communication skills including both verbal and written

  • Previous experience delivering presentations, in particular to senior leadership audience
