Director of Small Group Business
Handles Small Group sales (two-50).
Maintains, increases and manages the sales, renewal and service activities of the assigned region.
Directs and manages a highly skilled team, as well as managing ongoing relationships with our customers/clients.
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, business management, marketing, health promotion or a related field.
Required Work Experience
- Eight years of insurance sales and marketing management experience, to include training/development programs.
- Experience in the health insurance two-50 group-size segment.
Required Skills and Abilities
In-depth knowledge of group health insurance, including group benefits, pricing, claims payment policy, benefit analysis and stop loss.
Working knowledge of internal operational systems, including medical management, claims, customer service, eligibility and underwriting.
Demonstrated proficiency/performance in meeting sales goals.
Strong sales team motivation skills.
Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively and make sound decisions.
Strong customer-service, presentation and organizational skills.
Demonstrated oral and written communications skills.
Analytical or critical-thinking skills.
Ability to persuade, negotiate with or influence others.
Basic business math proficiency.
Ability to handle confidential or sensitive information with discretion.
Ability to direct, motivate and assess performance of others.
Microsoft Office skills.
Department of Insurance License must be obtained within 60 days of hire in state employed.
