General Summary:General Summary This position is responsible for the successful implementation of training and development programs, initiatives and activities that target territory growth. This includes delivering classroom training to new sales representatives on opening skills within the territories they support. Additionally, the Territory Instructor will be responsible for conducting joint field work with the DGAs, ADMs, and Sales Representatives. Territory Instructors will also have ownership responsibilities in partnership with the Territory Manager for driving Management Development initiatives and prospecting activity and effectiveness within those same
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Within the framework of our corporate new manager development programs, effectively deliver the opener training system to new managers in a manner that is completely consistent with the standard curriculum. This includes effective delivery of both classroom facilitation and joint field work.
Effectively drive manager development, particularly focused on Agency Builders. This would include, but is not limited to: delivery of manager training sessions, supporting Growth Team initiatives, leading DGA or ADM focused meetings and initiatives, providing mentorship for DGAs & ADMs, and driving territory specific manager communication programs.
Assume ownership for prospecting activity within the territory to include: leading prospecting sessions that support the “Territory Activity Calendar” system, drive participation in regularly calendared prospecting activities across the territory through effective communication and promotion campaigns, and be an active participant in these sessions.
Effectively deliver classroom instruction for new sales representatives and new sales managers on basic to advanced prospecting and opening skills, consistent with the standard corporate curriculum content.
Conduct productive and quantifiable joint field work with new sales managers utilizing our standard processes for prospecting and decision maker presentations.
Accurately and consistently provide required joint field work reports as directed.
In partnership with the Regional Trainer, determine training solutions to meet the needs of the territory.
Execute pre and post class follow-up with attendees to ensure preparedness and report in on sustained sales activities post class.
Complete all required administrative paperwork and deliver to the appropriate party.
May perform other duties assigned.
